Rights-holders who become CEDRO members are joining an association that works towards protecting their intellectual property rights and ensuring that they are compensated for copying of their work.
Joining and being a member of CEDRO involves no membership fees whatever (CEDRO funds its operations through a percentage, which can never be higher than 20%, of annual copyright income collected).
Among the rights, services and benefits that CEDRO membership currently provides, highlights are:
- Annual receipt of royalties generated by photocopying of the member's works.
- Availability of a legal advice and licensing service to protect and defend the member's copyright.
- A wide-ranging programme of training, promotion and aid in the context of CEDRO's social role, in accordance with the Intellectual Property Act.
- A free insurance policy, which is compatible with and can be cumulative to any other policy held by the member (author members only). Insurance excludes disorders that were pre-existing at the time the applicant was registered as a CEDRO member.
- Possibility of benefiting from the CEDRO Individual Benefits Programme (author members only). Further information
- Access to a range of free and discount services using the CEDRO membership card. Further information
- Subscription to CEDRO's bi-monthly newsletter.
