Our main functions are:
- distribute to authors and publishers the royalties due to them for use of their works, (+)
- to grant authorizations and licenses for the use of works in its repertoire, (+)
- to carry out collective management of private copies,
- social role: to provide authors and publishers with benefits, training and promotion, (+)
- to carry out collective management of the remuneration rights for public lending in libraries and similar institutions, (+)
- to protect our members’ interests before the courts and other national and international institutions, (+)
- to inform and raise awareness of the principles of copyright among the public, (+)
- to manage our members’ rights in other countries (we are members of the International Federation of Reproduction Rights Organizations (IFRRO). (+)

- Tracking down holders of rights (writers, translators and publishing companies) for users. (+)
